Your Questions About How To Get Offline Clients

Linda asks…

If I merely seem to be an atheist does that make me equally as bad as them?

If I never claim to be an atheist to any of my family, friends, associates or clients, or anybody else offline; and I merely seem to be an atheist on yahoo answers — am I still just as bad as any real atheist ever was?

Some of the answers I get on here indicate this is the case. And if it is, why?

How can someone that only seems to be an atheist be as bad as someone who is an overt atheist?

By the way, does that mean I’ll be going to the same hell they’ll be going to too?

The best routes to take are to research the process of starting a business as well as the industry you’re interested in.

I recommend checking out the SBA, Entrepreneur, The Start Up Journal & Nolo. All 4 are great informational resources for the new/small business owner. I posted links for you in the source box.

Associations may be a good avenue to explore. These organizations will address many of the thoughts, questions and concerns you’ll inevitably have as well as many you haven’t anticipated yet. See the source box for some relevant links.

Research, research, research – this cannot be stressed enough. Read as much as you can about the industry. Here are some book titles that are relevant:

* How to Start a Home-Based Web Design Business, 2nd by Jim Smith
* The Real Business of Web Design Paperback by John Waters
* Professional Web Design: Techniques and Templates by Clint Eccher, Eric Hunley, Erik Simmons

There are plenty of free informational resources out there. Check the source box for links to articles.

Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

How do i install WOW?

ok like i played wow a few times, but never got past lvl 12 on my main account cause id loose interest….but my friend is letting me play one of his old characters so i can see what its like when ur level 80….but i am confused on how do i install the game? i bought the original WOW game like 2 years ago, but lost the CDs….so i tried getting the trialwow streaming client, but i heard that it is only for trial accounts and i cant use my friends level 80 on that client….so i logged in to my friends account and went to download game, and they are showing a streaming client, but its apparently offline or something…then there is the universal client, so when i download and install the universal client, do i need to download and install original wow, burning crusade, and WOTLK?? cause damn that would take days lol….or can i just download and install the WOTLK chapter, and it will autoinstall everythingelse i need? i have to pay for this account and i dont want to suscribe it until i have the client installed and ready to play…

thanks

MAN! I hate reinstalling wow, I have done this several times do to comp issue that I reboot my computer. If it is your friends account you will be able to log into wow offical site or to battle.net and download the games from there. If he is 80 then he has WotLK expansion and should be able to download the game and install the patches from there. If he has the disks if would be much better because you can install the game and download the patches which will save a couple of hours. It does take along time but it is well worth the wait. Cata is around the corner so get use to the small stuff now so your ready for it!!!

If you need any additional help let me know, wow-leader.com click members at the bottom and click sillis, PM me im always willing to help, with this install or when you are playing and have some questions.

How can I play Starcraft II offline?

I bought the game with my Christmas money and I was at my dad’s house and he has the internet so I made a Battle.net account etc. and logged in on the game and managed to play Skirmish and the Campaign no questions asked, however, I went back home to my mum’s house and she doesn’t have the internet at the moment and then I tried to login on the game and I got the message

OFFLINE PLAY AUTHORIZATION REQUIRED to enable offline play, connect to Battle.net to authorize your game client, you also need atleast one Starcraft II character on the account.’

I’ve tried connecting to Battle.net logging in on it and I’ve tried playing guest I get the same thing it’s really disappointing to spend £35 on a game and not even be able to play it!

Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you!

Go to Battle.net and try account management or something. There might be offline play unchecked.

How can I play Swf files offline?

Heres my problem I have an online website that is basically an html file calling a swf file.

I need to put everything on a CD and show a client, however cannot show them an online version it must be able to work off the cd. However once I launch the html file the page is just blank and the swf file doesnt show, I knot its there because i can right click and i get the flash menu, why does it not work? If it helps to know all the paths for the swf files are just filename.swf i did not put it in any folders it is in the same folder as the html.

also my clients computer will be apple macbook pro with leopard installed. please help!
I think theres a little confusion, this swf will not be hosted anywhere it will be burnt onto a cd, all website files will have to be on the cd and able to launch locally. Basically pretend there is no internet access at all.

admin answers:

Some swf files check the domain where it is running and do not work if it is not the original domain it is meant to run. If this swf is created by your programmers then you can enquire with them. Also, since you said you can get the flash menu, just try choosing the Play option. Another reason may be this swf is calling other swfs to run, so try opening the browser cache folder to see if other swf files are loaded from the same site. If there are copy them also into same folder.
