I would suggest try on snagajob.com or at any Michigan works office, or as such…it would also be good idea contacting that hospital etc and do ask them..they will tell you…….also keep a keen eye on local town news papers for postings and like the local town flashes shopper paper too for all help wanted ads….as for your mom it is acceptable to consider putting a ad that she is looking for work but as chore provider in someones home……where she is only doing light housekeeping,cooking,etc… Until she has further education etc and licensing which is very acceptable many do this….also let me suggest contacting the local welfare offices too as i know the one here in kalamazoo,michigan has a the adult care department.. As they use to have a they called it a chore provider list you could have your name put on it after filling out proper papers they send you,and as people are in need of adult care then they may call you ,and they do pay you …..i was a chore provider though them years ago before i got prenate….hope this helps both of you ..good luck to you and your mom……

It might open up the possibility for such a job, however, unfortunately the job market is not great for MAs (or medical billers or coders) despite what those private $$ schools say. It seems as though there are more positions for health unit coordinator as it can be a stressful job.

If still wanting training for either field, please look at the more affordable county vo-tech school or community college as long as it’s accredited within the industry.

It depends on what her version of a medical assistant is? I work in a hospital and NO she could not be what we would say is a “medical assistant” without a degree. However she can work in a doctor’s office checking in patients, verifying insurance, and scheduling appointents and only need a high school diploma for that. Some people would call that a medical assistant also.

I dont even understand why they have MAs they have CNAS, and Lpns and rns, try dental but not somewhere like kapan or vatterot try ur local community college
